石川県加賀市動橋町生まれ。 大阪大学大学院基礎工学研究科修士課程修了。 2004年、神戸のカーナビメーカーへ就職し、マイコンのソフトウェア開発に携わる。 2008年、家業である丸八製茶場へ入社。2013年より現職。付加価値の高い焙じ茶の製造、販売に取り組んでいる。 2019年、金沢市東山の直営店 一笑の二階に、コワーキングスペース「一笑＋」をオープン。
